My first couple of songs made in Beepbox :} just short little string quartet arrangements because I wanted to stick to an ensemble I'm comfortable with!

The first one is more to demonstrate the motive, and the second is more of a waltz arrangement in three. It was so fun to think about what I like playing myself and to imagine how the quartet members would communicate phrases and etc. with each other :)

I found the beepbox string quartet timbres to be a bit bright for my taste. I'd love to try messing with them later to get a warmer sound, and also maybe practice mixing/mastering a bit at some point? There's lots to learn that's for sure!

here's some old work for funsies..like 4 years old... but it still goes. moltke and his all goth all transgender string quartet :^) they mostly play funerals

the fun part is that they're all monsters except for him and he doesn't know it. he seems to attract them.....

thanh is a merperson, chrys is a moth creature (my idea is that mothman is actually a mothwoman and has many many children), and marsailidh is a ghost light (a helpful one. she will lead you AWAY from your death not towards it)

"Ozymandias" performed live by Mivos Quartet. Composed by JG Thirlwell.

Just uploaded a performance of the composition "Ozymandias" at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY on May 16 2023. The performance was part of an evening of Mivos Quartet playing string quartet compositions by JG Thirlwell, to celebrate the release of the album 'Dystonia'. 'Dystonia' was released by Cantaloupe Music and comprises string quartet compositions composed by JG Thirlwell and performed by Mivos Quartet.

Mivos Quartet were Olivia DePrato on violin, Maya Bennardo on violin, Victor Lowrie Tafoya on viola and Tyler J Borden on cello.
